Water Baptism

Water Baptism is an outward expression of an inward decision to follow Jesus.

Get Baptized

Congratulations, it’s time to celebrate together!

Water Baptism is a public celebration of your decision to follow Jesus. That’s a BIG DEAL! In the Bible, Jesus tells anyone who follows Him to get baptized in water.

Baptism by immersion is something that is outlined in the Scriptures. It is commanded by Jesus in Matthew 28:19, and the early church practiced it in Acts 2:41. It represents you leaving behind your old life and starting a new life with Jesus.  We encourage everyone who has decided to follow Jesus to get baptized.

FAQs

Who should be baptized?

In Acts 2:41-42, everyone was baptized after they believed. Very soon after salvation, each believer was baptized in water in the New Testament Church.

At what age should someone get baptized?

Because water baptism is a personal decision,  it’s important that everyone who gets water baptized has a full understanding of what that means to them. We ask that anyone who gets baptized is in 6th grade or older. If your child is younger than this, we encourage you to pursue Child Dedications.

Do you have infant baptism?

Because baptism signifies that the person has made a decision to be a Christ follower, we instead have parent and child dedication. Child dedication is a public commitment you, the parent(s), make before God, your church, and your family. The dedication service provides you an opportunity to express publicly your desire to lead and spiritually nurture your child in cooperation with the Holy Spirit, so your child will develop a desire to love God and love others.
